The human body as we see it is not only a physical form; there is also the part we can not see, the energy body called “the aura”. The aura is the energy field around our body that vibrates and connects us to the Universe. According to New Age beliefs, a coloured emanation said to enclose a human body or any animal or object. In some esoteric positions, the aura is described as a subtle body.
Within the aura and body, there are seven main chakras known as “energy” centres which are placed along the spinal cord, starting from the base to the crown of the head.
Chakra is the Sanskrit word which means” wheel” or “turning”. Chakra is referred to wheel-like “vortices” which according to traditional medicine are believed to exist in the surface of the etheric double of man. The Chakras’ are said to be “force centres” or “whorls” of energy permeating from a point of the physical body, the layers of the subtle bodies (aura) in an ever-increasing fan-shaped formation. Rotating vortices of subtle matter are considered the focal points for the reception and transmission of energies.
Each one of our chakras’ are connected to specific organs within our physical body. Therefore, should our chakras’ become stored with negative energy, preventing the natural flow of universal energy, we may feel tired or generally out of balance.
Each chakra has it’s own unique individual colour; if the chakra is not radiating it’s natural hue from any one or all of the chakras, this will show there is blocked or negative energy, therefore the individual will not feel in happy equilibrium.
